One of the problem that I found with this eyecup is that it can easily come off the eyepiece. After around two years, I lost the one that came with the camera so I bought this as replacement. I was not sure if this is the original Nikon product but the quality is as good as the original one. It fits perfectly and protects my eyepiece.
I find it hard to look through the viewfinder without this piece of rubber for me because the light around the viewfinder does not get filtered and it can distract you from taking the photos, or at least that was the experience for me.
Compatible Products
I use this product for my Nikon D750 and Nikon D780 cameras but this Nikon eyecup replacement can also be used for a lot of FX and DX Nikon camera models.

This is the model Nikon 25335 DK-21 Rubber Eyecup for Nikon Digital SLR Cameras. It is sold in a lot of online stores but I bought mine from here where they have a Nikon store.
Conclusion
When I received that product, I discovered that these are actually the original brand product from Nikon. If you’re like me, I tend to lose or break one every couple of years just about anywhere. At the price it is listed, I will not complain and just keep an extra one in my camera bag. Highly recommended if you need a replacement, either now or in the future.
