I love doing small wedding photoshoot like this one, it gives you the opportunity to work with your clients easily and most of the time they would become as friends. The ceremony was officiated at the minister’s residence at Kitsilano. The house was a few feet away from the beach and it was a perfect place to take some outdoor photos before Lindsey and Abbey tied the knot.
For this event, I was using my Nikon D780 with 85mm, 1.8 prime lens, also, I set up my external flash on a tripod with a white umbrella for softening the effect.
I’ve always had a problem when I have to use the flash and I want to increase my shutter speed above 1/200sec, the Nikon D780, and depending on your camera model, resolves this issue, there’s a setting called E1 – Flash Sync Speed, you can set this to 1/200s (Auto FP).
